Working together worldwide
At Edgewell Personal Care, we hail from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities—but our shared values and challenger spirit make us one team.
We’re committed to a culture of teamwork. More than just making this a great place to work, this is key to fostering a dynamic environment of innovation and agility.
But don’t take our word for it. Meet some of our colleagues and see for yourself. We’re Edgewell, on the leading edge of personal care.
William S.
Engineering + R&D
As a Research Director, William can tell you a lot about the latest thinking behind blade science. With his background in engineering, he keeps Edgewell on the leading edge of product and mechanical innovation—applying the latest developments in science and technology to solve difficult business and technical challenges.
In his over 15-year history with our brands, William has come to embody our spirit of collaboration. He volunteered to temporarily move back to his former position on our automation engineering team to help launch the new Hydro platform. By all accounts, the program was ambitious, risky, and demanding. But above all, William recalls the project as demonstrating Teamwork in action. He uses both technical knowledge and creativity to deliver the very best products for our customers and consumers.
At work, William is a passionate leader. He’s an equally passionate co-leader at home. He and his wife Wendy are raising their two children, Danielle and Josh, in an atmosphere of “100% engagement.”
Gareth B.
Sales
Joining our team directly out of college, Gareth has been a trusted resource for over 15 years. Across a range of key roles, he has always demonstrated a natural affinity for the strategic aspects of the business—from planning to execution.
As a National Operations Manager, Gareth relies on Teamwork and Respect in leading his colleagues to satisfy the complex needs of our customers. He aims to always set clear objectives and designs actionable plans so that his team has not only the tools to meet their goals but also the motivation to exceed them. And he embodies Passion in constantly looking for ways to improve Edgewell across the supply chain—because he believes our competitive advantage is grounded in this drive to never stop growing.
Gareth enjoys sailing on Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf.
Taryn D.
Manufacturing + Operations
Taryn might be new to the world of personal care, but she has been a dedicated colleague since joining Energizer in 1996. She sees her shift from batteries to razors as an opportunity to lend Edgewell a fresh perspective, exemplifying our philosophy to never accept the status quo. In her words, “complacency is our enemy.”
Taryn relies on Integrity in guiding her team to improve every aspect of the manufacturing process because she believes honesty only strengthens their commitment. And she embodies Initiative in developing her colleagues. Whether as Value Stream Manager, Plant Manager, or now as Plant Director, Taryn demonstrates a passion for training and development, believing it not only fosters collaboration but also enhances the lives of each colleague.
Taryn has worked with teams across the country throughout her career with us—from Asheboro, NC to Maryville, MO, Bennington, VT to Westlake, OH. A mother of three, she and her husband Michael are dedicated to making sure everything runs as smoothly at home as at the plant.
Josephine C.
Supply Chain
As a Supply Chain Director, Josephine is a vital link to colleagues across Edgewell’s global offices—and exemplifies collaboration in practice. Driven to find new ways to improve Edgewell’s processes, her perspective and energy is essential to our success.
Given our reach and the depth of our portfolio, connecting our customers with our products isn’t easy. That’s why Josephine relies on Passion and Teamwork to make this process work for everyone. Recalling an occasion when North America received an urgent, large order from a key customer, she and her team worked hand-in-hand with their EU counterparts to fulfill the request—and did so almost immediately. While they embodied Edgewell’s agility, the story also demonstrates her view on our challenge to win. In her words, Edgewell succeeds because we “think and act outside our comfort zone.”
When not directing our supply chain, Josephine likes to immerse in the classics—whether literature or music.
Mary L.
Legal
You wouldn’t necessarily know it by her job title, but Mary graduated with a science degree before pursuing law. As a key member of Edgewell’s Legal team, she demonstrates this marriage of innovative and logical thinking in advising global teams like Regulatory, Quality, and R&D.
Enthusiasm is contagious, and Mary brings that energy to everything she does at Edgewell. And she’s grateful that she can collaborate with colleagues who share that Passion. In her position, where every day is different, this fresh perspective is vital. As Assistant General Counsel, Mary also embodies Integrity in tackling the tough legal questions. She constantly balances competing projects but ensures we “get it right”—always in search of a better way to get something done.
Edgewell’s relatively small size in the industry has its advantages—less lawyers, less people, less bureaucracy.
Michael M.
Information Technology
Michael has seen and managed tremendous change in his 30 years in the field of information technology. And for more than a decade, he’s been an essential steward of Edgewell’s network of colleagues across the globe.
Leading many IT and business programs in Personal Care and, previously, Energizer Holdings, Michael has been intimately involved in many of the acquisitions, integrations, and transformations we’ve made. As such, he relies on Teamwork, both within IT and across Edgewell. When building and managing these large-scale initiatives, he always strives to empower everyone involved—regardless of team or role—by giving them a voice in the process. And because the goal of his work is to enable collaboration, he ensures his team sets the tone.
As dedicated as he is to our challenge to win, Michael is, equally, a dedicated father—and fan—of his family of athletes. He values every opportunity to play an active role in their lives and, as a volunteer coach, in his community.
Vicki G.
Sales
Vicki started with Playtex, and her career has grown along with us. A Business Development Manager in field sales, she is a critical direct link to our customers. As communication is key, both externally and across our business, she’s committed to finding common-ground wins for everyone.
Vicki works with a diverse group of customers—from the “big guys” to regional and local retailers. She embodies Respect and Integrity as she pushes us to work with all of our partners with equal enthusiasm and attention. She sees Edgewell’s scale as an advantage: agile and resourceful. Vicki believes this keeps us honest because we have no choice but to fulfill our mission as one team.
Vicki is a consummate people person. She loves sharing great meals with her large family and group of friends. As an extension of caring for others, she has been passionately involved in the Susan G. Komen organization for over a decade.
Gretchen B.
Marketing
In such a competitive marketplace, information is paramount—whether market data, competitive research, or consumer insights. As a Development Manager on Edgewell’s Commercial team, Gretchen is a key source of that expertise. Thanks to her extensive cross-industry experience, her view of the big picture ensures we always keep the consumer at the heart of what we do.
An essential aspect of Gretchen’s role is collecting, analyzing, and sharing this information across Edgewell. She relies on Teamwork to communicate with key stakeholders in assisting them with decision-making and designing action plans. Additionally, Initiative guides her in finding opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge—from emailing colleagues about market changes to contributing to cross-function brainstorms.
When not sifting through consumer insights, Gretchen loves to go the beach with her family and their bulldog. (And, on occasion, even defies insight by continuing the tradition during winter.)
Petra R.
Human Resources
As an HR Manager for our European region, Petra plays a critical role in nurturing one of Edgewell’s key competitive advantages: our colleagues. This diverse, values-driven team ensures we have the broad perspective we need to compete globally.
Petra demonstrates Teamwork in action by contributing to vital HR initiatives like training and development, recruitment, and compensation. She is Passionate about challenging assumptions and improving business processes in order to find more efficient ways to support our colleagues. She likewise takes inspiration from their spirit, pushing herself to live up to Edgewell’s vision by helping us be more agile, resourceful, and innovative.
Edgewell’s commitment to work-life balance enables Petra to devote herself to her greatest passion: caring for her daughter and family.
Sunny X.
Supply Chain
Sunny has been a trusted colleague at Schick Guangzhou for over 15 years, touching many sides of the business along the way. As a dedicated learner, she relishes the opportunity to discover new aspects of her role and collaborate with different teams across Edgewell. And thanks to this enthusiasm, she embodies all five of our values.
Personal care is by definition a fast-moving business, and Sunny appreciates the complexity of managing our supply chain across so many brands and between such diverse customers. That’s why she relies on Passion and Initiative to make it all happen—particularly as Edgewell continues to grow. But she’s always looking for ways to put all of our values into action in overseeing supply in our Asia Pacific market, all while keeping consumers as our focus.
When it comes to planning, Sunny is just as reliable to her friends and family as she is to her Edgewell colleagues. She’s the ever-dependable go-to for organizing the next big trip.
Murdoch M.
Finance + Controllership
At Edgewell, we always challenge each other to improve our products and processes—it’s in our DNA. As a Director of the EMEA Controllership Team, Murdoch leads key change projects that drive us to work smarter, reduce inefficiencies and waste, and better serve our customers.
As his team plays a critical role in our success, Murdoch relies on Integrity and Teamwork to streamline our global business. In recalling a past improvement project, he emphasized the importance of Respect in giving a voice to his colleagues. This ensured they had the techniques and tools to enable the necessary improvements in their work. It’s initiatives like these that make good on Edgewell’s promise and vision.
Dedicated to improving our processes, Murdoch is grateful to his wife and son for keeping him on track at home. He’s a committed Celtic FC supporter, though based in England, and is doing everything in his power to raise an equally devoted fan.
