Ricardo is Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Edgewell Personal Care where he is responsible for the development and implementation of new products to market, as well as exploring new concepts and technologies, and providing technical support to Edgewell’s plants in the pursuit of business continuity and cost improvement projects.
Ricardo has led the R&D function through transformational projects while delivering on product roadmaps, meeting financial commitments, and developing and growing his team. He is a pragmatic leader who aligns all functions of his organization closely to the company’s strategy and is very passionate about Edgewell’s People First value. Under his leadership, R&D has become more agile, simpler, and more consumer and business centric.
Ricardo has approximately three decades of experience in R&D and has been with Edgewell since 2010. Prior to joining Edgewell, he worked for Johnson & Johnson Consumer R&D where he experienced increasing levels of responsibility and held a global international assignment in Germany, as well as a job rotation in Marketing under the Carefree™ Brand in the U.S.
Ricardo earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from Rider University and a Bachelors’ Degree in Materials Science Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos, Brazil, with concentration in Polymer Science. As part of his continued education, Ricardo also completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of Business.
