Hideo Goto

Hideo Goto serves as the Senior Vice President of North Asia and President of Schick Japan. Hideo joined Edgewell in 2022 and successfully turned around the business in Japan transforming Schick Japan from a single-track shaving business, into an expanded beauty and grooming company. He achieved the highest sales and employee engagement in Japan’s history and in 2025 and then expanded his responsibility to lead North Asia region.

With more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, he has a strong track record of driving results. With experience in all beauty categories—skincare, makeup, hair care, hair color, fragrances, and shaving—as well as channels—mass B2C, professional B2B2C, luxury, and e-commerce, Hideo carries a rich history in the space.

Prior to Edgewell, Hideo started his career at Johnson & Johnson in sales and marketing. In 2005, Hideo joined L’Oréal where he spent 11 years scaling their growth and transforming much of their business. He held various leadership positions throughout his tenure, including General Manager in Japan and Taiwan. In 2017, Hideo joined Henkel Beauty Care and worked to accelerate its growth in Japan and South Korea as Country General Manager.

Hideo earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2003 in the U.S., and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Meiji University in 1996. Hideo is also a published author of the book, “Turn Around Schick Japan, The recipe to transform a company” (Gentosha/2025).
